Data deletion instructions

WordPress-SEO (including our Business Agents WhatsApp service) builds and runs SEO tools and AI WhatsApp assistants for businesses. When a business connects its WhatsApp Business Account (or Facebook Page) to WordPress-SEO (for example through Facebook Login / WhatsApp Embedded Signup), we receive and store the information needed to run their assistant: the business name and contact details, WhatsApp Business Account and phone number IDs, access tokens, and the messages exchanged with their customers.

How to request deletion

You can ask us to delete your data at any time, by either:

emailing hello@wordpress-seo.co.uk with the subject "Data deletion request", from the email address linked to your account, or
messaging us on WhatsApp at +44 7300 060722 with the words "delete my data".

Please include your business name and the WhatsApp number that was connected, so we can find your records.

What happens next

We confirm your request within 2 working days.
Within 30 days we disconnect your WhatsApp Business Account and any other connected accounts from our app, revoke the stored access tokens, and permanently delete your account details, assistant settings and stored message history from our systems.
We keep only what the law requires us to keep (for example, invoices for tax purposes), and nothing else.

Removing access from Facebook yourself

You can also remove WordPress-SEO's access at any time in Facebook: go to Settings & privacy → Settings → Business integrations (or, for WhatsApp Business Accounts, Meta Business Suite → Settings → Integrations → Connected apps), find WordPress-SEO and remove it. Then email us as above and we will delete the data we already hold.
